Camp Kidston

One of the most loved and precious ministries to children and teens, Camp Kidston provides home and ministry to over three hundred children and teens each summer. It also provides employment and leadership expertise to numerous young adults. Bethany's internal Camp Kidston contact is Pam Carter (please visit our Contact Us page to get in touch).

2017 Update:

The Board of Directors of Camp Kidston is delighted to invite you to our new and improved camping season!

Kinza Hart - Director (Assistant Director Tineke Weld)
Kinza, a long-time Kidston alumni and second year McGill University Student, and Tineke Weld, a second-year Acadia Student with life long camping experience at Kidston and Big Cove, come with brilliant new programming, leadership development, community engagement, and childhood development expertise!

Jeanne Clyburne - Cook
Jeanne Clyburne is a master pastry chef and cook who has already wowed pre-camp participants with her delicious food.  Frequent comment - "Better than home!"  After the retirement of our previous long term chef, Janet Templeton, Kidston has been seeking the perfect culinary pro to add to our summer program!  We've found her!  WARNING: Your kids may never appreciate your cooking again!!

In addition to the above, we're adding new programs this summer, including kayaking and low ropes leadership courses!  "Branching Out" is the theme for the summer.  While camp only lasts for one week, what campers take home, can last a life time.  Through the adventures of canoeing, kayaking, leadership development, swimming, nature walks, campfires, camp-wide games, crafts and so much more, campers will connect with one another, the environment and the Creator.

Camping Sessions are rapidly filling up!!  If you have not yet done so, please submit the attached registration and medical forms or go to the Camp Kidston website, where you can pay online by e-transfer. Registration costs a challenge?  Kidston has adopted a highly appreciated 3-tier payment format (details are printed on the online form.)  Also, for those unable to pay at all, let us know.  We have a sponsorship fund believing no child should be left behind!

Not sure if you or your children are ready for camp?  Check out Family Camp July 7-9. This camp session is a wonderful way for families to have a wonderful shared, family experience and test out camp. Consider registering for one or both nights (gates open at 3:00 on the 7th) to experience the fun, games, re-creation, sillies and s'mores that can be found at Kidston. Reserve a cabin on a first come first serve basis (they're going fast so move now!) or bring your own tent or trailer.  Our 3-tier payment schedule and sponsorship bursaries are available here too.  Talk to us if cost is an issue.

Don't let you or your children miss out on the experience of a life-time, one they will remember forever.  We can't wait to see you at CAMP!!
