Thank you! Every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we will be accepting donations in the Fellowship Hall. A few small items can also be left on Sundays after church. Please no TV’s, heavy sports equipment, stuffed animals or clothing. We have a couple of exciting additions to our fair this year such as a bouncer and Bricks for Kidz! We also offer, jewelry, home décor, crafts, fabric, chowder luncheon, silent auction, flea market, Christmas, electronics, kitchenware, linens, toys, books (no older than 1985), pantry and a BBQ. If you have any questions or comments please contact usUPDATE: The craft table is accepting "new and finished" craft projects such as knitting, crocheted items, sewing, woodworking, Christmas decorations or any type of handcrafted projects.

Youth Groups - Bethany offers two youth groups which meet on Sunday evenings in the Fellowship Hall throughout the school year. SKILLS (6:00 to 7:30 p.m.) is for youth in Grades 5, 6 and 7. Youth Group (7:30 to 9:00 p.m.) is for youth Grades 8 to 12. Our first gathering is on Sunday, September 17, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ann and Shawn’s home for a bonfire and cookout. This is a combined event for both groups. Join us for fun and games and bring a friend!

Caregiver and Tots - Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.in the Fellowship Hall beginning September 28.   This is a weekly gathering for caregivers (parents, grandparents, etc.) and children infant to age 4.  It is an opportunity for caregivers and children to socialize with free play as well as circle time with music and storytelling. Silent Movie Night - Bethany United Church, Halifax, presents “Another Spooky Night at the Movies.” Just in time for Halloween, Bethany United will screen the classic 1925 Silent Black and White Classic Horror movie ‘The Monster’ on Friday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. Organist Shawn Whynot will provide a live soundtrack, entertaining and chilling, during the showing of this cinema masterpiece. The music that Whynot will perform during the showing of the movie will draw upon well-known classic repertoire for the organ, as well as themes from some of the great movie soundtracks, all interspersed with grand moments of improvisation. The film dates from 1925 starring famed actor Lon Chaney in his historic role as the “mad scientist.” Tickets for the event will be available at the door or by calling the church office at 902-455-0521. Adults $15 or 2 for $25, and Student/Children $5. Popcorn and water will be sold on-site. This movie is suitable for all ages…if you dare! Due to the popularity of this event, advance ticket purchase is highly recommended.
