Youth

Sunday School

Sundays during church service.
Children are taught by a group of dedicated Sunday School teachers where they learn about God’s teachings and frequently participate in church services. They also actively participate in outreach and providing help to those in need, including fundraising and collecting supplies of food, clothing, school supplies and other items.

SKILLS (Spirited Kids Interested in Learning Life Skills)

Sunday Evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
This is an opportunity for youth in grades 5 to 7 to gather to build community, and learn about God and who we are called to be as Christians in our daily lives.  Each evening begins with check-in and a theme-based discussion and a related activity such as a craft or an outreach project. This is followed by a healthy snack provided by the church. We wrap up the evening with high energy games. There is no limit to the fun and games we can get into!

Youth Group

Sunday Evenings from 7:30pm – 9:00pm.
All Youth in Grades 8 to 12.
This is an opportunity for youth in Junior and Senior High School to expand and deepen their faith in a safe and faithful community of peers.  Each evening begins with a group check-in and a theme-based discussion with a related activity such as an outreach project; followed by a time of hanging out and eating snacks, which are available for purchase. For the rest of the evening, we play games, everything from crazy run around games to community building games. The youth group plans and leads worship twice a year; during Advent with our annual Old Fashioned Christmas- a Stocking stuffing party in support of the  youth at Phoenix House, and then again in the Spring at Bethany’s Jazz Vespers service. Throughout the year we also have bowling, movie and board game evenings and other fun stuff!
