Worship Services

On a Sunday morning, this is what you are likely to experience at Bethany United: two greeters will welcome you to a blended worship service; a traditional format with enthusiastic singing led by our large choir, a variety of congregational hymns, worship music, choral anthems and inspirational solos; sermons that address how to live a faith-filled life addressing the issues of our time; prayers that embrace silence and each other; and an energy that carries on out to the Hall for community time, providing food for thought for the coming week. Sunday worship services start at 10:30 a.m. You can see the theme for the upcoming Sunday Service, which is typically posted on the Friday prior to the service, by clicking here.

A copy of this past week's service can be found here and to view weekly announcements visit our home page and scroll down to see what's happening.

We have a Family Room with a cozy sitting area and child-friendly play space for busy wee ones not age ready for our Sunday School program. If you wish to use this space during our Sunday morning service, it is available for you and offers a speaker for listening to the songs, scripture and sermon of the worship.

Jazz Vespers is our evening worship service all in the style of sacred jazz. Led by the Bethany Jazz Quartet, this worship offering is held almost every last Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM from September – May. This service is more relaxed in style and each month a new sacred theme is explored through spoken word, prayer and meditation, and music. As a way of introducing more people to the beauty and integrity of a jazz inspired worship, additional jazz services are held on the various Sunday mornings throughout the liturgical year..   Advent 2018

Wed Dec 12th come experience Bethany’s first

Blue Christmas service in the MacKinnon Chapel at 7 pm.

For the most part, Christmas is a time of celebration and joy. For many, however, this is a difficult time of year. Many people are carrying significant weights: grief, loss, depression, anxiety, financial stress, unemployment, uncertainty, aging parents, sick children, recent diagnoses, unknown illnesses. The public tone of the season does not resonate with many people’s private experience. Our Blue Christmas service offers a meaningful alternative for those seeking joy and carrying heavy burdens. All are welcome!
